AI NFC Card: Translation, Recording & Follow-Up in One Tap

An AI NFC card is a physical business card that uses Near Field Communication to trigger an AI-powered conversation session. MMEETT is the only AI NFC card with GPT-4.1 and Claude Sonnet 4, translating 150+ languages in 400ms and recording meetings automatically after a single tap.

What Is an AI NFC Card?

Standard NFC business cards store a URL or vCard on an NFC chip. When tapped, they open a profile page. An AI NFC card does the same tap-to-open action, but the page that opens is an intelligent interface. It listens, translates, records, and drafts follow-up emails. The NFC tap is the trigger. The AI is the value.

MMEETT embeds an active NFC chip that wakes the card from sleep, opens the browser, and starts a secure WebRTC session. The card itself does not process AI locally. Instead, it leverages edge servers running GPT-4.1 for translation and Claude Sonnet 4 for transcription and structured output. This architecture keeps the card thin, lightweight, and affordable while delivering state-of-the-art AI performance.

NFC Technology Inside MMEETT

MMEETT uses ISO 14443 Type A NFC operating at 13.56 MHz. The chip has a read range of approximately 4 centimeters, which is ideal for intentional tap interactions without accidental triggers in a wallet. The chip stores a unique device identifier and a secure session URL. No contact details are stored on the chip itself, so a lost card cannot leak your address book.

When the phone reads the chip, it receives a signed URL that includes a one-time session token. The server validates the token, associates it with your account, and loads the AI interface. This prevents replay attacks and ensures each tap starts a fresh, authenticated session.

AI Features Triggered by NFC Tap

Real-Time Translation: After the tap, the browser interface captures audio from the phone microphone. GPT-4.1 translates spoken content into the recipient’s preferred language. The output appears as text and optional speech synthesis. Response time averages 400 milliseconds for cached language pairs.

Meeting Recording: Claude Sonnet 4 transcribes the conversation in real time, labels speakers, and extracts action items. The transcript is saved to your dashboard and can be exported to PDF, Word, or CRM.

Follow-Up Drafting: Within minutes of the conversation ending, the AI drafts a personalized follow-up email in the recipient’s language. The draft references specific discussion points, includes your signature, and suggests a meeting time based on your calendar.

Offline Capability

MMEETT Pro and Executive models download quantized translation models during charging. These models cover the 40 most common business language pairs, including English-Spanish, English-Mandarin, English-Japanese, and English-German. When the card detects no internet connection, it falls back to local inference. Translation accuracy drops from 97% to 89% but remains usable for basic business conversation. Recording and advanced drafting still require connectivity.

Compatibility and Fallbacks

NFC is supported on iPhone XR and newer, plus virtually all Android phones manufactured after 2018. For older devices, MMEETT prints a QR code on the card back. Scanning the QR code opens the same AI interface. This dual-mode approach ensures 100% smartphone compatibility without requiring app installation.

Security Architecture

Every NFC tap generates a cryptographically signed session token with a 15-minute expiry. Data transmission uses TLS 1.3. Stored recordings and transcripts are encrypted with AES-256. The card itself contains no personal data. If lost, it is useless to anyone who finds it because the chip only stores a device ID, not contacts or credentials.

How MMEETT Compares to Alternatives

Mobilo offers NFC but lacks AI translation. MMEETT handles 145+ languages in real time.
